We realize that, at a time when India is looking to make an impact on the world’s knowledge-based economy and industry, the higher education system in India leaves a lot to be desired. Graduates and post-graduates and even Ph.D.s are ill-equipped to take up challenging careers in Science, particularly in Chemistry and chemical industry.

We therefore designed a variety of training programs that help the individual to grow. Unlike the jobs in most industries, work at Bharavi is certainly not routine. We have a training program at entry level, a research program and a manufacturing program in specialty chemicals. We also have sponsored projects from industry and the Government and also a Ph.D. program in chemistry; the laboratory is recognized by several universities for award of the Ph.D. degree. The graduates and post-graduates, preferably in chemistry, may be accommodated in any of the above categories, depending on their aptitude and capability. The laboratory is also recognized by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) as an in-house R & D unit and NET-qualified fellowships are tenable at Bharavi Laboratories.

Thus, when you choose to work at Bharavi Laboratories, you are not working for just a salary but are training yourself to a career in chemistry. Once appointed at Bharavi, the progress of one’s career as well as the take-home salary are linked strictly to the individual’s capability, as determined by his/her productivity. A percentage of the net profit from the product made by the individual is added to the salary as soon as the product is sold. In other words, it is possible that the salary could go up every month. There are instances where the salaries of individuals have gone up by 2 to 5 times during a year and an instance where the salary has gone up over 25 times over a period of time; during the same period the candidate was awarded Ph.D. degree by a prominent University.
